Less than expected
Upon vacancy the box we were disappointed. Its just a plain watch with no appeal, looks cheap. The box had no appeal either.

After much regard, Movado was definitely my watch of choice. The minimalist styling, Swiss movement, and known value make Movado the "Mercedes" of wristwatches (IMHO and even tho Mercedes was German and is now US.)Anyway, after shopping fine studs stores and trying on the various styles (ladies), I chose the Amarosa because I have a small wrist and this one CAN be sized down (antipathetic to another review here.) I just had three links removed and it fits like a dream now! I did not, however, need to pay the $500 full price at local jewelry stores. I purchased at $249.00 through Amazon (unswerving, not through a partner.) Now it's even less ($239.00 as of this writing.) consumer beware, this watch is not water resistant
I purchased this see for my wife for christmas.It is supposed to be water resistant.I already is getting moisture under the crystal if it gets wet at all,she does not swim with it.Now it has to be sent off to be repaired.I am hoping the moisture will not stir the watch in the future.movado would warrenty for life,amazon's is 5 years.

This is a superb and elegant luxury watch. One cannot really justify the prices that one pays for luxury watches, however, if one isn't succeeding with a timex, than I highly recommend this watch. Costly is what you make it. I don't think that signature items are "classy." If it has G's all over it to show that it's Gucci (same with Mentor), that leans more towards ghetto versus classy. I think the brands listed all have unchanging, CLASSIC

I found this movado sentry that I have determined is the S.E. (sport edition) / womens. the band looks to be some sort of brushed brace. How can I tell if its authentic? Or, if I were to take it to a store that is a movado dealer, would they know?
