Greatest Watch, Worst Customer Support
I own the Omega Seamaster Chronograph, purchased it new in 1998. I've had it serviced by open Omega Authorized Dealers every 2-3 years since new. In 2005, diving in San Carlos no more than 20 meters profundity, the watch sprung a leak. By the time I returned home the watch had remaining sea unreservedly urinate with rust inside. I sent the watch to the corporate repair center after consultation with a purchaser rep (The company is owned by Swatch). After several months and repeated inquiries, the watch was sent back to me un-repaired with no definition. I again contacted customer service (another painful story within itself) and re-sent the watch. A year later (Yes, the later time took 12 months) after repeated letters, phone calls and a minacious letter from my attorney, they contacted me for permission to do the repair work. The estimate was nearly $1300 and they offered no take for the considerable inconvenience. I paid the fee and the repaired watch was returned to me as good as...

Unsettled piece of machinery.
Bought this wait for about 1 month ago. I literally wore this watch on one wrist and the submariner on the other wrist at my jewlers for about 1 hour irksome to decide. Comfort, readability and style all won out and I bought the Omega Chrono Diver. This watch has an ineluctable movement with a 44 hour power reserve. Love the blue face and the skeleton hands are very one of a kind and make using the chronograph a breeze and reading time very easy. This watch is very rich/heavy so if you have small wrists it may not be the watch for your. Has great weight and balance to it. The watch looks enduring, I wear it to work (dress slacks and button up shirt) and with jeans and a T-shirt it still goes well.I fancy that for the price you would be hard pressed to do much better.

I am rather one-sided when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying completely under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, especially mid to height grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of calibre, function, construction, and style. Intimate Value in Premium Watches
I have a combine of luxury watches - a Girard Perregaux that I use for formal occasions and a Tag Heuer for everyday use. The steel confederate on my Tag broke, and I used that as an excuse to finally upgrade. I considered a Rolex, Cartier (Roadster), Breitling, Omega, or another GP. After prowling around sumptuousness watch forums/reviews, I settled on the Omega SPS as having the best value for the money. Rolex makes consequential watches, but they're so ubiquitous with so many fakes floating around that it doesn't feel "special". Cartier seems to be widely panned by non-essential watch afficionados - apparently its mechanism is so sensitive that it must be sent in to Cartier for routine sustenance every 3-5 years at a cost of $700 a pop!! The Breitling models I liked have monstrous sizes...they looked incongrous on my 7" wrist. In the end, I settled on the Omega SPS - and I credit I made the right decision. A Accomplish Combination of Form and Function!
I saw this wary of in a display case at an authorized dealer for first time earlier this year and was drawn to it instantly! I've always been fatigued to diving watches and chronographs. As such, I own a Rolex Submariner and an Omega Speedmaster Professional--both classic watches. The Submariner has an formidable depth rating (300 meters) and the famous "cyclops" date display. The Speedmaster has the chronograph aim but no date and needs to be manually wound. It is rated to 100 meters. I've always wanted to into a watch that combined them both. The older Seamaster Professional Chronograph, with its 300 meter rating, came shut up, but I've never took to the styling of the watch nor the bracelet on it. I like the styling of the Rolex Daytona, but it does not have the enough depth rating for my liking (only 100m), and the chronograph pushers have to be screwed down for underwater activities. Furthermore, it has no woman display. Then came this new Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph...

It's honestly sad. I love Omega so much but this watch was an utter disappointment. The movement, the Omega 3313, has been hotly debated, but the virus had pronto hit mine. The chronograph, after almost completing a revolution, would stop at 11:59 and halt the whole watch. I could never get it going again. Omega should fix this harrowing movement.
Not what I expected
I saw this safeguard in a national chain on sale, but we saved $1,100 by buying on Amazon - 1) bigger allowance 2) no sales tax. First of all a warning about buying from Amazon. If you buy this watch at and Authorized Dealer, the co-axial escapment watches have a 3 year commitment. All other Omegas have a 2 year warranty. Since Amazon is not an authorized dealer, they replace the Omega warranty with their own promise. However, they only provided a 2 year warranty. So I guess I lost a year of warranty for the $1,100 of savings. Added - I had to take the watch to shop to have it fitted properly.On a full wind, it usually stops keeping occasionally after 30 or so hours. (closer to 30) That is pretty dissappointing. Because it is so big, you can't wear it all the time. I have had the examine for a month, and I have had to readjust the time about 10 times.Also, when I do manage to wind it, it still loses about 4-5 seconds a day. That is over 30 seconds a week, that is 2...
