Leave out, Beautiful Timepiece by Quality Manufacturer
Baume et Merciet (definite bomb-eh me-air-cyah) is a classic timepiece, rated highly by GQ as a classic timepiece and well recommended as basically the "bottom" of the top tier of the elite manufacturers. Amazon has fantastic prices on it, and although you pass up the original 12 month manufacturers warranty, with Amazon it is authentic and they stand behind it with their own 2 year assurance, and it's well worth it to buy it here, in my opinion.This particular model arrived in beautiful packaging with a gorgeous box and pillow, with three parts to the box. Very meticulous.The clasp is definitely slightly more unusual than many other Breitling or other high-end watch straps, but undemanding to adjust and use. It took me a minute to figure it out, but when I did, it was easy to use... it looks like your normal "belt buckle" style on the outside, but has folded metal mechanisms inside that slow the watch from falling off your wrist, for example, when trying to buckle...

Pretty, classy, high-end watch
This be prepared is an automatic, dual-time watch, from Baume & Mercier, one of the best and most well-known Swiss watchmakers.I unusually like the way the dual time is indicated: an extra arm on the same movement will point to the second on occasion zone, which avoids having a separate movement and dial and keeps the watch very costly and not crowded at all. Very elegant and stylish. It is also very light. Thickness is about 1/3", which is quite small for an conditioned watch.It has the big advantage of not being a quartz watch, which makes it more reliable. In fact a sign of that is that you can see the seconds arm continuously turn instead of the regular intervals made by quartz watches. Finally, best of all is the beautiful sound of the swiss action, which I would have given an extra star for!Final note, don't plan on buying this watch anywhere other than on Amazon.com, since its retail bonus in jewelers from usual malls is approx $1800. I recently purchased the Classima standard #8462 from Amazon.com and wanted to let everyone know that the transaction was perfect.This is the first time that I have purchased an up-market watch online ($1,500) sight unseen, and had some anxieties about doing so. However, with the Amazon.com notorious behind it, I felt it was worth a try, considering the significant savings that could be realized in obtaining a genuine Baume & Mercier.The wary of came with all of the manufacturer's original materials - presentation case, manual, etc. It is important for persons to know that the manufacturers warranty is not applicable in such a transaction because of the online selling channel. However Amazon.com steps in and provides a full guarantee, so this is not really a problem. If it is a genuine watch by a quality Swiss manufacturer, there should never be any warranty controversy -- the watch will work out of the box.It doesn't make sense to buy a watch any other...
