Unerring rate, art-deco style, Longines quality
In college, I revered a watch my friend's date had on and asked her what it was. She said, "Longines baby!", obviously proud of herself and her timepiece. That stuck with me for years and when I had a inadvertently b perhaps to buy this watch, I jumped!First, I fell in love with the dial and shape of the case. I'm a sucker for art-deco so the numbers and hands had a basic appeal. Next, the shape of the case and the way the band curves to meet at the lugs sold me. Oh yeah, add in the "Longines toddler" image from my college days and the deal was done.The watch keeps excellent time for a mechanistic watch. My atomic clock time synced watch says that the Longines chronograph loses 4 seconds over a 3 or 4 day years - darn good for a non-chronometer.So why 4 stars? 1) The pushers for the stop watch are a dollop stiff - I think their operation should be smoother. 2) More worrisome, a couple of times, the firmly fit of the non-expanding metal band caused friction with my...

Pricey watch that just goes and goes!
I have had this eye for nearly ten years now, and it still looks great, fits me to a T, and operates without a hitch. I have banged the fa about quite a bit (I am a clutz) and it looks like it has never been touched. The quartz crystal is flawless. I can medicate this up or down, it doesn't matter because it is so classy that it just transcends style. The clasp on this watch is undetectable, and still functions fantastically. The only thing I have had done is have the battery replaced.....maybe 4 times. I would buy this again (if it ever decides to punt it) in a heartbeat. So worth the money!

This is a well done watch. Very attractive and certainly of high quality. Elegant and "old world", but stylish enough for day-to-day.Definitely recommended.
