why does my picture go black but still have sound?
I have 10 yr old Zenith. While keep a weather eye open for my Direct tv which is set for video 1 on tv or if watch my dvd player which is set for video 2 on my tv , the screen will go black but I have sound. But the vidoe 1 box will show in the healthy
Sounds like your video processor has died on you....If you have uninterrupted and IF you can actually see the Vid 1 or
Vid 2 "Displayed" on the TV, then that would be the cause....

For the erstwhile 4 days I've tried setting up KnoppMyth, Freevo, and MythDora on my Asus Digimatrix. Nothing worked, either wouldnt instal correctly, or I would get a black screen instead of the channel I was watching. I finally give the practical dandy Ubuntu a whirl, and it works FIRST try, right out of the box!
