I bought this skinned for as an upgrade from a Seiko. It's clean, elegant, and timeless. You can't notice its weight on your wrist. This is not a safeguard for those who need a giant face to show off how much they paid for the timepiece.

restrained elegance
i am not into blingy wrist watches. this chaperon exudes the timeless classic look. its well made, light, thin, and a great bargain on amazon. this same keep one's eyes open for was $1600 at a baume and mercier authorized retailer near my house. i wear it to work with a suit, and on the weekends in khakis and a shirt. glad i bought this.

Good-looking watch
This uncommonly is a beautiful watch -- I am very happy with my purchase. Two things I did not know: 1) the pore over requires movement to keep it from stopping (so if you leave the watch for a day without wearing it, you will need to reset it) and 2) the ogle is not completely sound proof so you can hear the dials moving when it is close to your ear. Both minor things and otherwise I fantasize it is very striking and pretty.

Smashing & elegant watch - worth every penny!
Conclusively splurged on a high end Swiss made watch and so glad I did. Hesitant at first to purchase from Amazon but no destitution to have worried. Came in the original box and packaging - very impressive. Difficult to determine from picture the punctilious size on wrist. I'm petite and have small wrists and the watch is perfectly proportioned - doesn't roast my arm/wrist with band or dial. It's simply gorgeous! Had my local jeweler (approved Baume & Mercier)to rub a couple links and the sales person was remarking what a beautiful watch and she'd make unswerving my $5,000 investment was taken care of properly! Couldn't be happier or more delighted with this securing - it's such a bargain. Thanks Amazon!

I ordered two B&M watches from Amazon, one is the 8550 Riviera. Both came on without surcease, packaging was awesome and the watches are great.Would definitely come back here next time. Price is so much less than the retail stores

Fellow Video Review Length:: 1:11 MinsI've owned Baume & Mercier's beautiful 8591 for about 5 months now (Regretful Amazon, it was out of stock at the time so I got it somewhere else) and it is an extremely well crafted watch that is suitable for practically any place. It looks rather bland in the pictures, but in person, it exudes understated class and elegance, looking importance every penny, but the pictures make the markings on the dial look kind of harsh, if that is a elevated word. Large watches are the current trend for men, and even women are starting to wear large watches now, so the 42mm immensity and 13.4 mm thickness is perfect, even though I don't have the largest wrists.The sub-dials kind of blend into the unseen of the main dial, so I'm guessing that the design goal of this model was to include a chronograph role while not looking like a "sports" watch, thus maintaining the "executive" professional look. im distressing to decide on what watch to get for my wedding. My choices are a black dial Longines Dolcevita (L5.655.4.76.6 ) or a black dial Baume et Mercier Hampton Model (MOA06866). The Longines in almost US$ 200 cheaper than the Baume et Mercier.
I have been selling watches for 17 years now.
Although Longines is in all likelihood better known in the high street, Baume et Mercier are a higher quality.
