Extraordinary, Beautiful Timepiece by Quality Manufacturer
Baume et Merciet (strong bomb-eh me-air-cyah) is a classic timepiece, rated highly by GQ as a classic timepiece and tremendously recommended as basically the "bottom" of the top tier of the elite manufacturers. Amazon has fantastic prices on it, and although you give up the original 12 month manufacturers warranty, with Amazon it is authentic and they stand behind it with their own 2 year promise, and it's well worth it to buy it here, in my opinion. This particular model arrived in beautiful packaging with a gorgeous box and pillow, with three parts to the box. Very exact. The clasp is definitely slightly more unusual than many other Breitling or other high-end watch straps, but trusting to adjust and use. It took me a minute to figure it out, but when I did, it was easy to use... it looks like your orthodox "belt buckle" style on the outside, but has folded metal mechanisms inside that hamper the watch from falling off your wrist, for example, when trying to...
Pleasant, classy, high-end watch
This pocket watch is an automatic, dual-time watch, from Baume & Mercier, one of the best and most well-known Swiss watchmakers. I extraordinarily like the way the dual time is indicated: an extra arm on the same movement will point to the second heyday zone, which avoids having a separate movement and dial and keeps the watch very exclusive and not crowded at all. Very elegant and stylish. It is also very light. Thickness is about 1/3", which is quite small for an instinctual watch. It has the big advantage of not being a quartz watch, which makes it more reliable. In fact a sign of that is that you can see the seconds arm continuously go round instead of the regular intervals made by quartz watches. Finally, best of all is the beautiful sound of the swiss development, which I would have given an extra star for! Saves $58,000, what a trade!
I wasn't successful to buy this watch, but then I noticed Amazon had it with $58,000 off! What a deal. With the money I saved I purchased a trade mark new BMW and still had money left over for a Disney vacation. How many watches save you money to buy a car and a vacation? Now whenever I see someone with shin-plasters troubles I tell them to buy this watch and save $58,000. I am considering buying 10 of these watches so I can reserve $580,000 and buy a house on cash. Retirement saving is also no longer a concern for me, as I plan to buy one every year and abide off the $58,000 I save.
Worst purchase I ever made

Pretty watch
This is an unqualifiedly amazing watch. Its style is both very sober and elegant. It enables you to know what time and what day it is, don't reckon on anything else. The black croco leather strap is also very well manufactured. Actually, this is a typical Baume et Mercier produce: fine, elegant, beautiful.

A very intricate watch indeed. Classy, simple and elegant. And Baume et Mercier is a very well respected brand. One element to note is that although it's quite a wide watch (diameter), it's very thin and light. Overall, definitely recommended.

Unqualified fiasco - BEWARE when buying this.
Intial assess: (I wrote the day after I bought my 1st) stylish, elegant, understated, very thin, light weight, great buy lucky I bought it and just got one for my brotherUpdate - The watch is a few months old. Style wise - I honey it. HOWEVER - I am concerned it might fall back about 10min a week. I may have to return and repurchase - which is annoying - but smooth if done through amazon - I yearning.2nd update - The watch definitely loses time. I looked down and thought I was on time - when in in truth I was late - multiple times. Not what you expect from a new 1200$ watch. Further troubling is what I came to learn. Initially I contacted amazon theory that my fastest course of action was to return this watch and repurchase another. However that is a decent amount of pain - and who is to say that the subordinate watch won't have that issue. So I and my wife figure it may be a battery issue - not such a great issue on a trade name...
