I have been researching Omega Seamaster watches for one of months, and went to several authorized dealers in my local area. They usually offer <15% deduct + tax. So it would be around $2900 if I buy from them. I was impressed by the price Amazon offered (~$800 saving), although I know that Amazon is not an authorized wholesaler (therefore, the Omega warranty is void). I recieved the watch 2 days after placing the order. It is beautiful and same as what I saw from the townsperson dealers. It came with authentic box and 3 cards (surprising! since I thought the warranty card would be missing. Of execution, the card is not filled with proper dealer names etc. so it is void technically). Unfortunately, when I on purpose examed the back of the watch, I found that the serial number on the watch was scatched off (or more precisely speaking: devastated). First Watch, Worst Customer Support
I own the Omega Seamaster Chronograph, purchased it new in 1998. I've had it serviced by unfeigned Omega Authorized Dealers every 2-3 years since new. In 2005, diving in San Carlos no more than 20 meters chasm, the watch sprung a leak. By the time I returned home the watch had remaining sea distilled water with rust inside. I sent the watch to the corporate repair center after consultation with a guy rep (The company is owned by Swatch). After several months and repeated inquiries, the watch was sent back to me un-repaired with no rationalization. I again contacted customer service (another painful story within itself) and re-sent the watch. A year later (Yes, the other time took 12 months) after repeated letters, phone calls and a intimidating letter from my attorney, they contacted me for permission to do the repair work. The estimate was nearly $1300 and they offered no overlook for the considerable inconvenience. I paid the fee and the repaired watch was returned to me as good as...

Important piece of machinery.
Bought this awake to about 1 month ago. I literally wore this watch on one wrist and the submariner on the other wrist at my jewlers for about 1 hour tiresome to decide. Comfort, readability and style all won out and I bought the Omega Chrono Diver. This watch has an robot-like movement with a 44 hour power reserve. Love the blue face and the skeleton hands are very consonant and make using the chronograph a breeze and reading time very easy. This watch is very healthy/heavy so if you have small wrists it may not be the watch for your. Has great weight and balance to it. The watch looks noteworthy, I wear it to work (dress slacks and button up shirt) and with jeans and a T-shirt it still goes well.I assume that for the price you would be hard pressed to do much better.
